My applemusic app (on a Huawei android) wont open, what can I do?

It seems to be Huawei specific, that´s true and all seem to have been getting this issue since about 2 days ago. I too have this issue and I tried restarting my phone and restoring it from backup , all without success.

I've been having the same problem too for the last 2 days! Working fine on my daughters iPhone just not my Huawei phone and we have a shared account. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still it won't work! Hope someone can help soon missing my music.

The same happened to me yesterday. I'm using a Huawei honor 9 and it's been working fine since I got the phone two months ago up until yesterday now I can't open the app, a white screen appears then closes. I have tried restarting my phone and uninstalling the app.

OK I've had this issue today at a party which took me hours before to prepare a playlist. Go to apps. Google play services on your phone clear cache and manage data and clear or reset, it then will work, promise you I was so annoyed, but the party is now over but I got my music back.

Same problem with mate 10 light.

SOLUTION:

It is happening because of Google Play Service.

Go to Settings -> Apps

Find: Google Play Services

Storage -> Clear Cache.

Then: Manage Space -> Clear All Data.

I suggest downloading an older version of the app from the site apkmirror.com

I tried it, and it worked for me!

But first, you need to clear the data from the app by going into settings > apps > Apple music > storage > clear data

I found a temporary solution. It seems that Google play services are causing this. I go to settings - apps - google play services - storage and delete all data. Then Apple Music works without problem. But every time I restart my phone I have to do it again :-/

The Google play services clear doesn't work and the installing 2.5 version doesn't work either.

Mine pops up with apple music then crashes in a loop that makes it hard to use the phone enough to even uninstall.

This is the worst app I have ever used, very glad I only have free trial account and didn't pay for this service, as the android app is the worst I have ever experienced.

Look at the google play review page its all one star scathing android owners, some with brand new expensive phones and the app crashes for them too.

It's probably apple's way of driving customers away from Android (having opposite effect with me).

Pretty bad service when I don't want it for free. Electronics over $1000 aren't for me either, bye apple!
