no public website option on shared albums

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I want to share these photos on a website to collaborate on building an Apple Photo book.

I thought the best way would be to share an album but the other person does not want the photos on their computer. Is there a way to do that? Apple says check the box to make a public website but no matter what I do this option does not show up for me.

Are you creating the shared album in Photos on your Mac?

  • First create the shared album and name it. To create the alum select a few photos to share and click the Share button. Select iCloud Photo Sharing.
  • Then select the new shared album in the sidebar, click the colloborate button in the Toolbar. Now the "public website" button should be showing. Click it and copy the web address, so you can mail it to your friends.
