I had my screen fixed and now, when I put my phone in my pocket, somehow the screen comes on and I guess by it rubbing my leg through my pocket, the wrong passcode gets entered numerous times and disables my phone, any idea how to fix this?

Is "activate by lifting" on? Try to switch off. My daughter's SE made my crazy since it always switched on when she changed the phone's position even holding it in her hand.

There are two separate points to be made here:

Who fixed it?

  • An Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider. If the screen is not working properly, take the iPhone back to the facility where it was repaired and demonstrate an issue related to the servicing.
  • Anyone else. You had an unauthorized repair performed on your iPhone. Learn from that experience and don't repeat it.

Are you certain this is related to the screen repair? Yes, when an iPhone screen senses contact, the screen will illuminate. Perhaps, for example, the iPhone is rubbing against your leg.

I have the same problem. It only happens when I get a notification that lights up the screen when it’s in my pocket. My screen was slightly cracked so I thought a replacement would fix but it did not. Although I did not go to Apple, it is an OEM screen off a parts phone. Not sure if raise to wake would have anything to do with it sense it only happens with a notification. 9 times out of 10 if my phone is ringing in my pocket, when I pull it out the respond with text option is up. If I get a text or something the passcode screen is up. Usually with failed attempts. I wish there was a keep screen off while in pocket like some other phones have using the proximity sensor and/or camera. Only iPhone I’ve had that did this and I’ve had them all. Except the 5c. No one wants a 5c...
