I got an Iphone 7 recently, the same as my friend's. He can use a “Copy Photo” option in images on the Facebook App. However, even though we share the same version of the App and iOS, I don't have this option. I can copy images from WhatsApp and Safari well, but not sure why the option is not avaiable for me on Facebook.
Anyone know a solution?
On your phone, go to Settings > Facebook and tap photos. Make sure you have Read and Write enabled. Also have you turned on Upload in photos in the settings there as well?
Just tap on a photo (you may have to tap it twice) then your options will appear below.
Yeah, the "Copy Photo" is rare, another friend told me the same about saving the photo because he also lacks that Copy option. However, it's not a unique case, if you don't mind looking into another website:
It's a tutorial for copy and paste images or text on the Facebook App. Since it's not unique, I thought I could get help getting that feature too.
If it's something you want, I'd recommend reaching out to Facebook. It's their app and they control the functionality of their app, not Apple.
Also in Settings > Facebook is a button for Upload Photos (as well as Upload Videos). Make sure you have enabled.

Find an image you want to save.
Double tap that image
Tap it again

I don't have a copy photo option, but it doesn't bother me. I just save photos and do with them what I want from there. To be honest with you, I've never seen a copy photo option. Just save, send in messenger, report or turn on notifications.
To save the image means its going to occupy memory on my phone. I know I can delete it, but it’s an extra step. Here is a screenshot of my friends facebook. He has the Copiar Foto option.
It bothers me since I had an option to share only the image in my old Galaxy, so I was used to that feature. The other thing bothersome is that my friend do have that option, having bought the same phone.

What do you mean with the Upload in photos?
Ok, i wasn't enabled, I just turned it on. I still can't copy images though.
I do get the “Save Photo” (Guardar Foto) option. It's the “Copy Photo” (Copiar Foto) that doesn't appear.
I don't know what to tell you. We have two iPhone X and two 2017 iPad none of which show what your friends phone shows.
