Secrity lock

I am using Safari 2.0.4. When I sign on to a site that should be secure, the lock does not appear. When I use Firefox, it is secure.

How do I manage to get security on Safari?

Hi Deanna

You certainly had me scratching my head. The icon is a bit obscure, that's why in my initial post I said to look in the "upper right of the browser window". Next time this question comes up, I think I'll attach a screenshot. Personally, I think the lock ought to appear somewhere near the Address Bar window, or at least be colored to be noticeable.

Glad it's all figured out.

You have the option of "awarding" up to two "helpful" designations - User uploaded file (to the far right of a person's screen name) to anyone who has helped you with information.

In instances where your question was satisfactory answered, one "solved" designation is also available.

Doing so helps others searching for a solved or helpful solution to a problem. It also adds to a person's Level Status, which in itself is helpful for others knowing a person's skill level and their ability to assist others with computer questions.
