brightstar

I have been ripped off by Brightstar, and would like to know if there is anyone at Apple who I can contact about the issue. Brightstar sent me back the wrong phone - broken 5s instead of the pristine 6s I sent them. I keep getting promises from Brightstar, but nothing gets done. It's been over 6 weeks since the process started.

I only chose to work with Brightstar because of the link on Apple's website. ie., if Apple endorses them, they must be okay.

Thanks for any help,

Gorham

Brightstar is a third party company. If they screwed up, then your issue is with them and not Apple. Apple can't help you with their decisions or actions any more than any other company could with Apple's decisions or actions. Also this is a user to user forum and no one here can help you or answer your questions as we don't work for either Apple or Brightstar.

Not strictly true, panchososa. We are helping when we mutually condemn Brightstar and I would join in with that.

We are equally helping when we advise a route to make the protest more applicable to Apple by using Feedback. Apple rarely respond to feedback but we are assured that they read every post.

And while this is not a technical question it does have a strong bearing on the existing relationship between Brightstar and Apple which does need the broadest exposure available in my view.

Very true. After Brightstar told me that my pristine iPad gen4 was worth nothing, I requested a return. I heard nothing from them for months. After a dozen calls and emails, they finally told me that there was an "unavoidable delay" and it would be returned in 6-10 days. Two weeks later, nothing. I sent dozens of emails, some to their CEO, demanding its return. Another replay from them that it was "6-10 days" away. Finally, weeks later, it is returned. I will never do business with them again, and shame on Apple for promoting their service.

I am indeed and I will express it. The troubles with Brightstar via my own records date back to 2014 and while I always suggest feedback I am not averse to using these columns now and then even though it is claimed that Apple do not read them.

Why you should feel able to talk about 'Apple's history', I don't know.

No-one but Apple management knows what influence Feedback has, and they certainly would be unlikely to broadcast anything.

The history I'm referring to is based solely on product releases and the intentional removal of useful ports or features. That's hardly speculation on my part and their excuses or "reasoning" in official events such as their announcement of the removal of the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 reveal is hardly a secret. So my point is simply that if they care, they have a funny way of showing it.

So, now these forums are restricting posts?

If the community exists for discussion, in ADDITION to support, then how is one to get support for fraudlent transactions by an Apple vendor?

So the previous thread was dead. Here starts a new one.

Brightstar, trade inApplesanctioned vendor.

They lie, steal, and rip off consumer.

They have no chargers?

Then how can they claim things as previous posters post?

Bottom line, the question is:

What has been the resolve of the persons who posted Brightstar stories, what was the outcome, how did things turn out?

I was offered an "appeasement" of anything up to $300, but I needed nothing, so they offer me a $100 "coupon", as in:

We are pleased to offer you a coupon for theAppleStore. This coupon is valid through 6/30/2018 for any one of the discounts listed below. The appropriate discount will automatically be applied by theAppleStore based on the total estimated cost of all eligible items in your cart, excluding applicable taxes and shipping charges. Your coupon’s Promotion Code is XXXXXX.

$30 off a purchase of at least $100

$60 off a purchase of at least $200

$100 off a purchase of at least $300

Is thisApples way of appeasing customers who got ripped off to forget it, drop it, don't push it?

I am not happy.
