how do i unlock my iphone from vodafone?

it’s an iphone 6. i have placed another sim into the phone as i thought it was unlocked because i’ve used other sims that aren’t vodafone in it before, it then came up with a message that the sim was not supported

Contact Vodafone. Only carriers can unlock phones.
