What's gobbling up my storage space?

I have an Apple TV 4th Gen with 32 GB of storage.

I downloaded the "Storage Doctor TV" app, which shows:

• Free - 13.34 GB

• Used - 16.46 GB

• System - 2.20 GB

I am wondering what is using half of my storage when:

• Manage Storage shows that I have only 27 apps installed, the largest of which is just 65.5 MB.

• I have purchased/downloaded no movies or TV shows.

What in the world could account for 16.46 GB being "used"???

Streaming content will also be cached, even if that can’t be accessed later. Such files may stay until space runs out. That is up to tvOS to manage. Part of the used space is purgeable, and can be freed up at any time the system needs to. I’m sure there are developer docs with more details on how free space can be used by apps without them having a permanent claim on that space (like temporary files without fixed expiry date).
