stop adding events to mac calendar
I just made a restaurant reservation with opentable on gmail and it showed up on my macbook pro calendar (not google), on an icloud calendar. I want to manage my calendar manually. How do I stop this?

Open the Calendar app. Use Calendar's menu to go to Calendar > Preferences > General. Uncheck the box labelled "Show Siri Found in Apps calendar."
You are choosing to turn off a feature provided by the Calendar app. You certainly may do that if you wish.
