Random UI glitches on a brand new iPad 6

Just wanted to show off the random UI glitches I'm getting on the brand new iPad 6 (2018) I have purchased yesterday (May 16).

Below is a screenshot of the notification screen. When you are using an app, or just simply on the home screen, and you slowly pull down the notification/lock screen from the top of the iPad, there's an approximately 1 inch area at the right side of the screen that is NOT covered by the notification/lock screen. This does not happen all the time. So far I ran into this 3 or 4 times in a 24 hour period.

On this next screenshot, notice the app icons and their titles are "collapsed". This also happened a few times so far.

Completely disappointed with Apple. A brand new iPad, less than 24 hours unpacked, and already glitches like this exist. They seem to happen randomly. Already filed a bug report. (I'm guessing Apple doesn't have enough testers with their billions of dollars of cash.)

Was curious if anyone ran into issues like this. The iPad has iOS 11.3 on it and I noticed there's an update for 11.3.1. I have not yet installed this update.
