Low Power Mode & Video Recording.
When trying to video record the other day, my phone was in low power mode, because it had been running low on battery before I started filming. I plugged the camera in to charge because I was filming indoors on a stationary tripod, but I left it in low power mode while filming so it would both charge more quickly and because I figured there would be fewer potential interruptions to processing. Instead, the phone went blank in the middle of recording, apparently trying to save energy due to “inactivity” like it does in low power if you are reading a webpage and don’t touch the screen occasionally. Turning off low power mode (after this happened a couple more times) solved the problem. Clearly this is an overlooked “feature” that at least should be given a preference to turn it off, if not squashed, as surely no one wants their phone shutting down in the middle of video or audio recording Just because it is in low power mode, especially if it is plugged in.
