Connect via Ethernet, but s-l-o-w

I have Cox gigablast service. I get 950 down, 37 up via Ethernet to my PC.

My iPhone 7 plus get 450/37 via WiFi.

But, with the Apple camera and Ethernet adapters (powered) it works but only 55/37. No point in doing this setup for very little speed. I was hoping for at least 850/37.

Anyone else have this experience? Does anyone have suggestions how I can connect at the speeds Ethernet delivers to my WIN 7 PC?

Thanks!

If you are using this adapter: Apple USB Ethernet Adapter - Apple then it has a theoretical maximum of 100 mbps. So 55 is around what one should expect out of it in regular usage generally.

If you want a close to gigabit support, you need a better ethernet adapter.

A Gigabit ethernet adapter:

Thanks for the quick reply!

Before I purchased the Apple USB Ethernet adapter I purchased from Amazon a StarTech 3-port USB Hub plus Ethernet port that is rated for 1 gig. It also has a power supply. With or without power it doesn't work at all. I only tested it with my iPhone 7 plus. (WiFi and cellular disabled.) I guess I will settle for the 550/37 I get on the iPhone via WiFi.
