iPhone 8 Plus earpiece distortion while listening to music

When i turn up the volume to a half or even more, an annoying distortion of the sound in the earpiece speaker occurs. The crackling gets even more intense, when high sounds, or singing (in the song) appear. But it doesn’t only appear when I listen to music, it’s literally everywhere. The earpiece speaker has not become quieter, it’s just the distortion, crackling and low quality. It started literally out of nowhere about a week ago. I tried all the steps which I found here on the Apple site, but nothing helped. Can it be a hardware problem or not?
