I would like to downoad ORACLE JAVA SE 8, can someone tell me, please, whether it is safe or not to download it even though it has a closed padlock? My desktop is Mac OS Sierra, version 10.13.4.-

Download ONLY using the java Control panel (if already Installed) or directly from java.com, and nowhere else, ever.

Any other site in not guaranteed to give you a version that is not malware.
