Copying details from invoices to a separate sheet

Hi there,

I'd like to use Numbers to write my invoices and have it copy certain criteria from the invoice onto a separate 'Overview' sheet - e.g. Client, amount outstanding, due date etc. Is this possible in Numbers? I know how to copy fields to the overview sheet using '=' but each time I create a new invoice sheet do I have to create the string again?

Any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks,

David.

Hi David,

I would do this the other way round. An Invoice table that "pulls" relevant data from a database of client information. For example, type a client name or ID number in the Invoice table to populate other cells with details of amount outstanding, due date etc. Then the Invoice table is reusable. No need to alter the formulas.

Please give us more information. Screen shots of the Invoice table and the Overview table will help. Use fictitious data!

Regards,

Ian.
