I have 12,000 contacts and only 1,260 are showing in Icloud contacts?
Any thoughts on how I push through an update?
Any thoughts on how I can ensure the update takes before uploading the new OS?

Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

No this didn't work - I am still 11,000 connections short.
I have done an iTunes backuo and back up to my computer but would feel a whole lot happier about the iOS upgrade if I could see the contacts in the icloud contacts area instead of only 1200??
Is there an off apple system for uploading contacts from the iPhone? The contacts are my number 1 concern on the phone.

If you go to iCloud.com/Contacts, do the contacts show there?
Only 1260 of them??
Are all of the contacts under iCloud and not under On My Phone?
