MAJOR Mistake in Arabic Keyboard

I‘m no expert on Arabic characters but this sounds like a good catch. This forum is a peer user support area supported by Apple but we don’t have direct communication the the people who can record and fix your bug.

I suspect letter list refers to the pop up selection which appears on a long press, and in a Latin alphabet keyboard includes the accented variants of the base character, for example long press “e” and you get to choose from ėęêèéëē

"ي" (WITH Dots underneath) stands for the E, the i, and the Y, sounds in English.

On my ipad keyboard, the ya "ي" key does NOT have alif maksura "ى" as a suggestion, only ya hamza ئ . Is your keyboard different?
