AirDrop window inactive on my iMac

My iMac AirDrop window is blank when I try to AirDrop to and from my iPhone. Neither device sees the other. I have no problem using AirDrop with another iPhone. This is all I see:

Nothing else is visible in the window. Any idea what is wrong?
