I am using IPhone X latest software version 11.3.1. If the phone is in ringing mode and we get a call, we can click the “volume button“ and the ringing would stop. its working for all calls on my phone except the WhatsApp video call (audio call works). Is anybody facing this issue?
WhatsApp is not an Apple product, best you ask the app developer in their forum/website.

I don’t think it’s a WhatsApp issue because in previous ios versions it was working fine. And it also works in other phones.
