How can I login, as administrator, without using password?

I've tried various ways, including adding myself as a non-administrator user (different name), but haven't found a way to login (after I have shut the computer down) without entering my password each time. Is it possible with 10.13.4? (If not, it oughta be.)

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

Pretty sure it was that way (or, that I could set it up that way) with previous operating systems . . . and the why is simply that I'm the only one that uses my computer; it's rarely (as in 'never') accessible by others; and it makes one less step for me. Seems the computer's administrator ought to be able to set up the computer the way he/she wants it to be. Also, at my age, remembering my passwords is not something I do easily, or happily. But, I am now convinced that I have no option. So, thank you for replying. I will put it to bed.
