Lacie 5big thunderbolt 2 is not detect to disk utility but Lacie Manager can scan

Hi

I have two Mac with Lacie 5 Big Thunderbolt 2.

Lacie drive was good to use when i had a 2011 macbook pro.

But I bought two Mac in 2017 because my 2011 MBP is dead. one with High Sierra and the other one is with Sierra OS.

Lacie drive is not working at all on High Sierra OS.

But It worked on Sierra OS. So I was trying to re-array my Lacie Hard drive on Sierra OS but This is my first time to re-array my drive by myself so I guess i chose "create 2 x array"option. After this happened, my Lacie drive doesn't detect to Disk Utility but I can scan it on Lacie Manager.

Overall, I have upgraded latest firmware for Lacie Manager on both MAC then it happened like this below

On High Sierra OS:

-Disk Utility and Lacie manager, both of them can't be detected on High Sierra OS MAC

On Sierra OS:

-Lacie drive doesn't detect to Disk Utility but Lacie Manager can scan it.

Therefore, My questions are:

-Is there way to use my Lacie drive on High Sierra OS? (I have upgraded latest firmware for Lacie Manager)

-If there is no way to use my drive on High Sierra OS, How can I create 4 or 5 x array on my Lacie drive and works properly on Sierra OS at least?

Appreciate for your help in advance.

iMac Pro (2017), macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

The update to macOS came out yesterday. I would update and see if that helps at all. If not, and you have nothing on the Lacie that is important, then I would format all the disks individually and then use the Lacie Manager to set up the array. Since you have 5 disks, I would set it up in RAID 5 for the best mix of speed and redundancy. It sounds like something got messed up when you tried doing the array before.

Good luck.

Thanks.

I will try it with new OS.

Lacie mentioned on email:

"I think you can try formatting to get use out of the two disks, but I do not think you will ever have functionality of all five again. I believe the bays in the chassis have failed. You can try formatting one 2 disk array but even that is not a guarantee at this time. The chassis has failed and we are not able to take the issue any further. "

2 disks (out of 5 disks) are appearing in Lacie manager but can't initialized. So I'm not sure what to do.
