I can no longer connect to my WI-FI, why is This happening???

This started about an hour ago where I decided to clear my search and browse history because I thought it would make my laptop faster. Anyways, I then cleared my search history ’of all time’ And i realized that my WI-FI was not working. So I thought ’ok, whatever maybe my WI-FI went down for a second or two. So I tried to check if it works so I went to the top of the screen where the WI-FI is and it said ‘WI-FI: No hardware installed‘ so I didn’t know what to do, I tried everything I could or knew how to do in the system preferences and Mac help and even the network diagnostics but I still do not know what to do. Please help me as soon as possible because I need to work on my laptop. Thank you.
