iPhone 7 photo gallery jumbled up

Would like to check if there is anything I can do to my IPhone 7 to get my photos in the gallery arranged back to dates?

As yesterday, there was a glitch and suddenly all my pictures were jumbled up and not according to the dates captured.

Unable to arrange photos on my iPhone XR to display in date order I’m trying to arrange my photos and photos in albums I’ve created by the date the photo was taken. Following Apple instructions I opened the album and went to the More button to select Sort and there isn’t an option to Sort. What am I doing wrong?
