Why does apple have me sign in when I’m already signed in

I know that you have to sign in from time to time but I’m getting asked to sign in with my iCloud address and password it’s disheartening to have to do this all the time because my identity has come into question in the past and I don’t want this to be an issue again I expect more from Apple
