iPhone X Mesh Network issue

Hi,

Is there any known fix to resolve the iPhone X Mesh Network issue (eg Sky Q), where signal drops between rooms?

The phone should switch connection to the nearest access point on the mesh network, but when moving about the house, the phone seems to fail to switch even though it shows full wifi signal.

All internet is lost as if the phone is stuck switching from one point to another.

I have tested the same issue on my girlfriends iPhone 6S with no issues, however on my fathers iPhone 8 Plus, he experiences the same drop out issue. Based on this, its clearly a phone issue rather than a network issue.

My only workaround currently is to turn airplane mode on then off to force the phone to connect to the new access point, but this is far from ideal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Bonjour can't work if your network is not configured to support multicast, so this can be the case. Unfortuantely I can't provide any working solution but these articles may have the information you need:
