Macbook pro purple logo at startup

Hello,

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro and just recently it started giving me distortion and scan lines while in use. Shutdown and restarted and now it gives a purple mac logo and status bar at startup. The system then shuts down. I have tried getting to the disk utility without luck, used cm+opt+r+p with out luck either. Anyone else have this problem before?User uploaded file

Hello Rocky,

Thanks for trying the article provided. At this point, your Mac will need to be seen at an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store. Use this info from the previous article to find a service provider in your area:

If your Mac still won't start up after you've tried each of these steps, visit an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for further diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail Store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar, if available in your country or region. Diagnostic fees may apply for issues not covered under warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan (APP).

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hello Joseph,

Tried that and it didnt work, laptop just turned off.

I have done an OS system reinstall (Globe icon at startup) and before it gets to the log in screen there is a blue screen with black vertical lines.

Tried the "fsck" trick and instead of white letters and black background, the background is blue.

Tried starting up to disk utility but it never pops up.

Dont know what to do at this point. It either turns off after apple logo load, stays on a white/grey screen or blue with black lines
