imovie is not supporting 60 fps video

When I import my 60 fps footage to movie, it looks fine. the framerate is 60 and everything looks good. however, when I drag my clip down into edit, it goes into 30 fps. can anyone give me some pointers on what to do next?

iMovie sets the project fps based on the first clip added to the timeline. Make sure that the first clip you add to a new project timeline is 60fps. There have been some reports recently about fps issues with 4k clips in iMovie 10.9 but no solutions yet identified. What is the resolution of your clips and what version of iMovie are you using?

What happens when you try to export it? Do you get a 2.7k export option?

On your first computer, open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. See if that resolves the editing issue. However, I don't think you will get a 2.7k export option. If you do, please report back. Another thing you can try is a re-download of iMovie.
