iOS 11.4 WiFi Problems

iOS 11.4 on iPhone 6 and iPad Pro. WiFi drops on iPad and then does not reconnect until numerous attempts, turning WiFi on/off, connecting to different network, or powering iPad on/off. Phone has no problem nor do my many Windows computers nor do my SmartTVs. It’s not my router or signal strength. Is this an iPad Pro chipset problem? Also, I have WiFi Networking turned off under Privacy setting for both phone and iPad

Go to settings and open your wifi. Select your wifi by touching the wifi name. Click on Forget This Network. Touch Forget this Network (in red to confirm). Then open up WIFI to rediscover your network and re-enter your password for your network.

This fixed my WIFI issues on iphone 6 plus and iphone 8 running ios 11.4 so far.😉

iPhone does not connect to internet-never has since installing 11.4. I pay unlimited talk and text on iPhone. Am I able to text on iPad or iPhone without using data and being charged? Need to know this holiday weekend and for emergencie. I have done lots of things and cannot get connected On iPhone and messaging doesn’t work on iPad. We should be reimbursed for paying and not getting.

When I installed 11.4 on new iPad it was ok, the next day wanted install 11.4 on iPhone so did and my router went off. Had to call AT&T who said it was fine and connected. My TV went out also but came back on, everything came back on but iPhone one hour later. Weird. I have U-verse and it is supposed to be good. Have you heard when the “big” fix is coming. I had to buy unlimited data plan!

Something I do not like happened. I am disconnected from iOS iPhone and had to buy a data plan but, one morning news station I watch from 50 miles away comes in perfect now-before not. I think WiFi went to tv not my iPhone. When I downloaded 11.4 router went out with red lights flashing. Called AT&T said I was connected on their side. It shows connected on iPhone but NO WIFI. 11.3 and 11.4 took WiFi from iPhone.

WiFi is connected to everything I have but iPhone. iPhone says not connected and NO WiFi as before. I bought data plan from Verizon to get Internet.

Yes, I see my AT&T router name and it says not connected after installing 11.4. I go to it and it connects for a nano second. It is not my router. 11.3 and 12.4 took WiFi signal strength away from iPhone. iPad was installed and it works. Wireless tv works.

I just made the mistake of updating to 11.4.1, and now I can't effing get on any of my four home wireless networks. The iLemon asks me for my password(s), and when I enter them properly, it tells me I cannot connect. Apple is no longer a technology company. Period. I've never had as many issues with my iPhone or MacBook as I have in the last 6 months. Each update (obviously programmed by Apple's "experienced" crew of 3-year old engineers) has made things worse and worse. Horrible experiences all around. I have no doubt whatsoever that we've reached "peak apple".

Ah man, I feel your frustration. Ever since updating to IOS 11.4 then to 11.4.1 my WiFi and Bluetooth won’t work, and my battery drains super fast. Apparently Apple has multiple lawsuits against them, because of their constant IOS updates they are purposly forcing people to upgrade & buy a new phone when the customer has a perfectly good phone (that’s only a year old). It’s horroble, I’m frustrated, and feeling hopeless, sorry to hear you too are in the same boat.

Just updated to 11.4.1 and my iPhone 7+ will not stay connected to work WiFi. Home is fine. I have tried every generic recommendation multiple times, including resetting all network settings. It connects when I manually connect, but then drops, constantly. No exaggeration, it drops all day every day. So incredibly frustrating. WHY are these called updates they are breakdates. I see these long threads of people with problems, does an Apple rep ever drop in to say anything?
