Hello TameTiger,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help connecting to your vehicle. I am happy to offer some things to check. I would like to recommend these two help articles:

1. Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo

2. Set up CarPlay to use with your iPhone

The first article has options to try depending if you are connected via bluetooth, a USB connection, or through CarPlay. The second article is specifically for CarPlay. There are many good troubleshooting steps provided in both articles. There is also a step to help you check if the car stereo needs an update to work with your the newer iOS 11 version, and states:

6. Check your car’s manual for help. You might need to install firmware updates for your stereo.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

Hi MoonJ.

Thank you for your reply, my car connects to the phone for all my music even the Spotify app. It doesn’t collect contacts information so if I make a call it just shows the number or if I receive a call the same happens. I tested it whilst parked, the phone shows contact details the car shows numbers. Before iOS 11 all worked instantly, I’ve contacted Audi there’s no makers update. My car is a 2011 A6 running the latest updated Audi software from July 2017.

I welcome anymore ideas thank you
