Cannot delete massive amount of invisible iCloud Drive storage
Hello, I'm having this major problem that I couldn't get worked out with chat support. I have the basic 5 gb iCloud storage plan, and I made the mistake of trying out iCloud Drive on my MacBook Air without really thinking about it. Needless to say, my storage was full in about 2 seconds flat. (I also have an iPhone, but I've never turned iCloud Drive on from my iPhone, so what took up storage was my Mac's documents.) I turned iCloud Drive off, and allowed it to make an Archive folder. I wasn't backing up anything particularly important, as I was just trying out Drive to get an idea of how it worked.
Well, despite only having the free 5gb of iCloud storage, somehow I now have 20.9 gb of totally invisible and seemingly unaccessible/undeletable iCloud Drive storage being taken up. This is shown consistently across my iPhone 8, my mac, and iCloud.com. However, on iCloud.com, the iCloud Drive folder (since on the website the folder can be accessed without it being turned on, as opposed to from within Finder on my mac, etc.) says it's empty (so is Recently Deleted). Yet somehow, my storage is totally full with these ghost documents.
On my phone, when going to Settings—> Apple ID, iCloud, etc. —> iCloud —> Manage Storage —> iCloud Drive (which has "20.9 gb" stated next to it) —> Delete Data —> Delete, nothing happens. This is majorly stressing me out. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
