Quit Pages '09 via the Pages menu : Quit. Double-click that same document to open it by default in one of Pages v5/6/7 depending on which one you have installed in /Applications.


The index.xml file format was dropped in Pages v5/6/7 and these newer documents are not backwards compatible with Pages '09 — without first exporting that document to Pages 09 format.
