checked none of this is resolving.... infact the speaker button during call as well as the record button in voice memo are not getting highlighted... also facetime is not working... so i doubt issue is pertaining voice button... or do not disturb icon...
IPhone7 128 - same issue. Tried resetting everything. BT works fine as does music. Found an article online about ‘iphone7 loop disease’. Looks like a HW issue with the audio chip. Going to see if I can get someone to fix it..

Did you check the Call Audio Routing setting as I recommended in my response?

I'm in the same boat. I went to the Apple store and was told that Apple "just" stopped covering this. Sounded extremely bogus since if it's a known issue, I'm surprised they would "just' stop replacing defective products.
The suggested I buy a new phone (shocker!)
Same issue here! Took it to Genius Bar & was told it was a hardware issue & that I’d have to buy a new phone since it’s no longer under warranty. Convenient this happens right when I’m about to pay my phone off. I’m sick of Apple products lasting 2yrs & something happening (first battery & now this). I replaced my iPad with an Amazon Fire tablet & am considering another phone. Completely ridiculous!
Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Call Audio Routing, and make sure that "Automatic" is selected there.

Yes, I have tried all of these including the one suggested by you. It seems like an update has caused microphone to not work at all.
I have the same issue, I was told by Apple support this is a known issue. After trying reset and no change I took it to Apple who want to charge $500 for a refurbished replacement.
Have you figured out a resolution ? I’m now experiencing the same problem.
That is not ok since my was their fault. Now I’m in the same boat !
What model of iPhone and what iOS do you have?
