What type of interface does this SSD have?

I took out the SSD from a dead Macbook Air A1466 (early 2015) and I want to connect it to my other laptop through USB using an adapter.

However, I don't have the slightest clue what kind of connection this SSD is built for. Here are the specs: https://beetstech.com/product/solid-state-drive-a1466-2015It says PCI-E so I assumed Mini PCI-E but then again it also says "Connector: Proprietary Apple (12+16 Pin)" which is confusing..

  • Is it M.2?
  • Is it Mini PCI-E?
  • Is it some custom Apple connector interface?

And the answer:

Apple Proprietary 12+16 pin connector.

Requires a very specific and fairly expensive adapter: OWC Envoy Pro - SSD Enclosure for 2013-Current Macs
