My MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 touch bar model has black vertical lines on the screen what do I do?

I was just sat watching netflix then all of a sudden Netflix stops and I have black vertical lines down the left side of the screen, I also found that when I press down the right side of the screen they disappear a little but not completely and I’m not sure how this happened because I’ve never dropped it and I’m really careful with it so I’m not sure what’s up with it please someone help me!!!!

Greetings Aimie,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you were watching Netflix, and your show stopped playing and vertical lines are now shown on the screen of your MacBook Pro.

A few troubleshooting suggestions I recommend to attempt are to reset the NVRAM and SMC for your MacBook Pro. You can see those steps from the following guides: How to reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac & How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

If the NVRAM and SMC reset doesn't help, I suggest to attempt to repair the disk with Disk Utility: Repair a disk using Disk Utility on Mac

If further help is needed, I suggest contacting Apple for service assistance: Contact Support

Kind regards.
