Alarm too low in mornings

I listen to podcasts very quietly when going to sleep but then my alarm is too quiet in the morning. This has made me late a couple of times. Any idea on solution. Is there a way of turning the podcast (or music/audiobook etc) volume down without turning down the volume of alerts/ringers??! Please help! Thank you!

Yes! Go to Settings > Sounds and Haptics and make sure that the option “Change with buttons” is turned OFF! This means that the volume of your ringer/alarms are NOT affected by using the volume buttons on the side of your phone. Now adjust separately the volume of your ringer/alarms with the slider just above…drag the circle all the way to the right for maximum volume. You should now hear your alarm in the morning…!

Now you can adjust the podcast/music/audiobook volume down or up using the side buttons (or from the Control Center) without turning down the volume of alerts/ringers. Hope this helps you! Regards, Ian.
