Hope someone can help. I'm creating a ringtone from a song. Was doing ok up to 'import the .m4r file and it shows in tones'. Where do I find tones in this version please.

No, this is no longer happening.. except for few songs.. youtube video to mp3 converted songs are never getting synced to itunes.. IDK, if there is a any kind of check on the file. I hope the final format tat will get into itunes is m4r or is it m4a ?

turingtest2. I got the answer to my question under the link you provided.
You can just copy the ringtone from your desktop and paste it to iTunes under tones on your phone menu
