The only music I’m able to play from my watch that is on my iPhone X is music I have purchased through iTunes. When attempting to play any other music it either plays a random song or doesn’t play anything at all. Then when I look at my iPhone it says not playing.
This just in within the hour. Apple update for the iPhone to 11.4.1 fixed the issue. I have NOT updated my AW yet. Issue was a bug in IOS 11.4.
I just choose iPhone library, artist, album, play music and nothing happens. When I press play for the second time, the app starts a random play.
The 'Now Playing' screen works fine, the problem is starting playing songs from an selected album or from the 'all Songs' section.
I'm curious if the "starting songs from AW problem" is true even for songs/albums the iPhone shared with the AW. Or songs/albums the AW has seen played recently from iPhone?
I can confirm a song from a playlist from ripped cd doesn’t play. The watch displayed the track information but did not play. iPhone then played a random track
It can't be intentional. Then the behaviour should be the same when browsing the same ripped music stored in the Watch itself.
Same here everything is once again working as it should😁
I have updated my watch to 4.3.2 and my phone to 11.4.1 (15G77) and this seems to be an issue again.

You gave a very useful debugging details. You've demonstrated that although the music browser on your AW can't play a particular song the iPhone, AW siri can play a particular song on the iPhone. Can't it play an album? Once it plays the album can the AW navigate to any song on the Album? Once AW Siri plays the album, can AW browser then also play it? If you continue experimenting, you may discover an easy "work around" that you can share.
