iTunes Crashes during restore/update

Hello Everyone,


I'm hoping someone may be able to help me - I've been going crazy over the last couple of days trying to get my iPhone X out of recovery mode.


I have tried restoring it using iTunes and iTunes keeps crashing during the firmware update portion of the download (literally like 90% complete)...and I'm stuck in this perpetual loop where it crashes...then my phone prompts me to connect to iTunes to recover...iTunes crashes...then my phone prompts me to connect to iTunes to recover.


I have completely wiped my macbook pro...re-installed the OS as well as the iTunes update....nothing iTunes continues to crash over and over again.


Any other assistance would be greatly appreciated - I would most definitely settle for even going back to a version of my phone from a week ago!
