MBP can't detect/show MP3 Walkman device in Finder

I am using a MBP late 2013 with Sierra OS. When I plug in my mp3 Walkman via usb cable, I couldnt find it in Finder. I have already checked everything in Finder Preferences>General menu. How can I possibly get it to appear so that I can transfer songs into it?

Greetings Oakleo,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand your MP3 player is not found within Finder when you have it connected with your MacBook Pro.

A good first step to take would be to check the connections between your MP3 player and MacBook Pro, and trying the connection with a different USB port and cable. To further help isolate the issue, you could also attempt using the MP3 player with a different computer.

Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) for your MacBook Pro is another good step to take for when external devices aren't seen when connected via USB: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Let me know how the provided suggestions work for you.

Cheers!
