Wireless Headset (SB2 Skullcandy) Cutting out - MacBook Air

Hey all,

So I have a pair of wireless headphones from Skullcandy (Smoking' Buds 2), which have been able to connect to all my apple devices; iPhone 5s, iMac (2008), and MacBook Air (2013).

Everything connects fine with everything, however, the only issue I have is with the MacBook whereby it cuts out every few seconds. At first, I thought it was where I was in the house, but I sat right in front of my laptop with the headset connected and it still did it.

I have updated software on all devices, and yet still, it's the MacBook that seems to have problems in holding a table connection with the headphones. Is there any answer to this? Or is anyone with the same products, or even bluetooth devices finding the same issue?

Thanks in advance

iPhone 5s, iOS 11.4, Bluetooth

Greetings EmmettChapmanUK,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand your Bluetooth headset cuts out unexpectedly from your iMac. Being able to stay connected via Bluetooth is important, so I can definitely understand wanting to clear this issue up.

The first step I suggest taking is to disconnect any Bluetooth device you have connected with your iMac and restart your iMac. After the iMac restarts, let's have you reset the SMC and NVRAM. See how to reset the SMC and NVRAM from the following support articles: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac & How to reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

Let me know how the provided suggestion works for you.

Cheers!
