"Encryption credentials have expired" when I try to print

I am getting "Encryption credentials have expired" when I try to print. It was working fine before the OS update to 10.13.4.

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

Well, I hope they at least tell you what you need to log in to the printer or the printing server.

It is hard to this blindly, but here goes.

If you can figure out which one it is, try deleting the relevant password using Keychain Access. You can open Keychain Access and do a search for the name of the printer, that should narrow it down.

If you then try to print, you should be asked to enter appropriate credentials, and there should be a checkbox to save those in your keychain. Check it. If all goes well, your printer should be now available again.

I had already tried everything.

I finally resolved the issue by installing the printer drivers (it worked before without them).

I understand why Mac is not supported in many workplaces 😟...

It is not supported in many workplaces by way of ignorance and arrogance of some IT people. They don't know, and they don't care.

It is not in any way harder to install a printer driver, or to connect to a network printer on a mac than it is on a windows machine.

Imagine it happened the other way around: you had a windows pc and the IT said "we only support macs". Would you be able to figure it out on your own? Most pc users wouldn't. Would you then "understand" why windows were not supported???
