Apple Watch Won't Show Noticifications

Series 2 42mm running 4.3.1 (15T567)

My Apple Watch is not vibrating or showing text messages and/or email notifications on the face from sleeping like it used to.

I have gone into the Apple Watch app on my iPhone.

Under My Watch, messages is set to mirror my iPhone.

Under My Watch, mail is set to mirror my iPhone.

My iPhone (7+ running 11.4 15F79) notifies me of messages and mail.

If I open the the watch and open the messages app, the messages are there.

Ideas?

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 4

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, iplayatak.
If I understand your post correctly, your iPhone receives notifications normally but your Apple Watch does not.
It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting so far. Try the additional steps here:

If you don't see notifications on your Apple Watch

When your devices disconnect, your notifications go to your iPhone instead of your Apple Watch. To check your connection, swipe up on the watch face to open Control Center. If your devices are disconnected, you might see User uploaded file, User uploaded file, or User uploaded file. Try to connect your iPhone and Apple Watch.

When your Apple Watch locks or you turn on Do Not Disturb, your notifications go to your iPhone.

  • When your Apple Watch is locked, User uploaded file appears on the watch face.
  • When Do Not Disturb is on, User uploaded file appears on the watch face. To turn this feature off, swipe up on the watch face, then tap User uploaded file.

For third-party apps, notifications are delivered only if your paired iPhone is also connected to a network.
