Wireless mice won't work on Macbook Pro

Most will use a generic USB mouse driver that should be native to MacOS. Certainly Logitech, which makes more computer mice than anyone else.

What does System Report say in USB? There's always the possibility that the receiver is malfunctioning.

Perhaps try and see if you might reconnect your mouse to the receiver using Logitech's unifying software.

Next try removing the dongle, counting slowly to ten, and re-Inserting.

Your receiver is not working or the driver is not recognizing it. Try a new receiver.

It apparently doesn't see the receiver, which could be dead. Do you have another receiver? Maybe see if it might be recognized if connected through a USB hub?

This is what mine says. The receiver is plugged through a generic USB 2.0 hub.

If there's a driver problem, there it's going to be really difficult to figure it out. It's supposed to use a generic driver that's used for any "human input device" whether it's from Targus, Logitech, Microsoft, Kensington, etc. If the driver is missing, it's supposed to pull it either from the OS or the internet, although I believe MacOS would do that i the background. But if it's been working before, I'm not sure what could have happened.

I've used a Logitech M325 for years, and before them an M305. I bought a bunch of them because I liked them, they were cheap, and my kid would occasionally bite into the scroll wheel. The worst I've ever had to do was pull out the receiver or hub and it usually reconnected.

More than 50 different computers, with different screen sizes, bear the name MacBook Pro.

Those little dongle things are notoriously cranky.

If you have not done a recent restart, you should try that first.
