I cant open numbers file on MacBook Air again

This has already happened the second time this year. Anticipating questions - I have not made any updates of numbers and MacOS lately. Just - I closed the file (in which I did not make any operations) and after 5 minutes when I wanted to open it again - I received a message saying that "Numbers can not read the file. You can try to play the previous version". Previous versions, of course, do not exist..... I lost my big work second time (previously - 5 months ago - I lost 3 files at the same time)
