Nothing happens when I press the Delete button after selecting/ highlighting the playlist.

Right-click the playlist name where it appears in the sidebar. Does delete from library there not work for you?

Yeah it did not work at first (there was no Delete option when I right-clicked) until I closed and reopened my iTunes once or twice, which is kind of weird but at least that finally worked. Thanks!
Terenceus from what device are you wanting to delete the list? Is it a computer, an iPhone, or iPad? If you are referring to the iPhone, go to your iTunes library and click on playlists. Scroll to the list you want to delete and click on it. Click on the red circle with three dots inside it. If you are deleting a playlist that you created and named, you will see the option to remove and a trash can icon. If you are deleting a list that was already programmed in the phone ex: recently added, recently played, I recommended editing the list. I hope this helps.
