iPhone support for LDAC codec

I bought the latest Sony "flagship" wireless headphones. Sony have a brilliant codec LDAC. I'm due for a new iPhone (I have a 7) but I'm thinking of jumping ship. Why? Sony continues to only use AAC for Bluetooth even though the worlds moved on (e.g. AptXHD or better still LDAC). All Android phones that run Oreo can now benefit from LDAC. Does Apple have any plans to add this codec in the not too distant future?
