iOS DND app exceptions

Very extremely disappointed in the limited functionality of Do Not Disturb. I've seen other unanswered questions about this with other applications, but in my situation, I use a baby monitor that will send me push notifications. I use DND overnight, but if she were to have a nightmare, I won't get those notifications. There are zero solutions for adding an exception for specific apps. Only contact calls or texts.
This seems like a pretty obvious oversight.

Is there anything in the works here, or am I better off going with an android?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 11.4

There was nothing unprofessional about my response. It is ridiculous to suggest something that has nothing to do with my question. And I did ask for clarification if that wasn’t the case. All you "edited out" was a synonym for "silly."

It is good to hear about the update. I hope they cam address this. I submitted the feature suggestion via the form provided, thank you.

Yeah, that’s what I was just talking about. There’s nothing inappropriate about the word silly. Especially when you’re insinuating I don’t know how to switch apps. I never said I had a problem with app switching. Your answer was incomplete an unrelated. I marked the only helpful response you submitted, so you can now move on.

And what does app switching have to do with overnight do not disturb? If you’re impying i should leave my device with the screen on all night ******* If not, please clarify.
