So is the Series 1 Apple Watch using QI charging so that any third party qi charger works, or does it use some proprietary charging method?
If the first, then which third party charging plates works with Apple Watch series 1?
I´m looking for a charging plate on which I can easily just put down the watch on. Preferably a third party one so that the price won't be too high?

No, the series 1 does not support Qi charging.
The Apple watch attaches magnetically to the Apple charger. Its basically just a stand, but works exactly the same as the included charging cable. i.e Magnetically attaches to the bottom of the watch.
There's several charging stands available for the watch, but they are not Qi wireless chargers.

But at least there are these desktop style chargers available for Apple Watch series 1 from third parties?
I had only seen the charging puck type chargers for series 1, i.e. the same type which comes with the Apple Watch.
I would like a little bit nicer desktop style charger for my series 1.
Ive seen these desktop style charger stands were you put your own original charging puck inside, but not a complete dedicated charging stand with the charger circuit built in.

Yes. Links above are to a couple of options that are compatible with the Series 1. One with its own charging circuit, and the other uses the included magnetic charging cable from the Watch.
It is not a Qi charger. The only ones I've seen are the Apple model with the round charging plate on one end and the USB plug on the other.
