GPS IPhone X inaccurate

Hi, I use my Iphones since years for maritime navigation. This means clear sky, no obstructio etc. Unfortunately, the Iphone x is not usable for that, I am quite angry about spending so much money for a very poor function. The posoption jitters around 20-30m, which is visible on a track, but much woraw, if you physically stay in one location, but the coordinates jump around. Can‘t use it for anchor watch. Obviously this is a design flaw, as many users complain. Can this be fixed or can I upgrade to my old Iphone 6s, which worked fine?

Have you had Apple check your phone to see if there is a hardware problem? Mine is not doing that.

I‘m using various programs like Gaia GPS, Nacionics or Anchor watch. I think it’s irrelevant, which North I‘m using, the problem is a jotter of the position when I dom‘t move and respectively a bent line, even if I move straight. What would be the influence of true versus magnetic north?

I have an appointment in the Genius bar next week. The forums are full of people having that problem, mainly with the chipset used in europe, maybe you have a US chipset. Let’s see where this takes us. The phone is not usable for me that way.
