Mac won't shut down or restart after Sierra update 10.13.5
When I try to shut down or restart my iMac the screen goes black and only the cursor remains on the screen. I'm able to move the cursor but I can't do anything else. I have to hold the power button down on the back of my iMac for several seconds to restart or shut it down.
I'm able to start it back up properly by holding the power button down for a few seconds. When I launch Apps and try to restart the Sierra upgrade the same cycle repeats. I've tried everything I can find on the internet (i.e. unplugging the iMac, resetting the SMC and the NVRAM, safe boot, disk utilities, diagnostics, etc.).
Not sure what else to do. Can anyone help?
